For instance, let’s say your great aunt left money to you, but you had no idea because you had lost touch years ago. We found the lost and forgotten money, and we tracked you down.
We also locate funds for people who are now deceased. We are able to recover the funds and disburse them to surviving heirs of the estate.
In many instances we can handle the entire claims process for you. However, we can only act on your behalf if you give us the authority to do so. This is the sole scenario in which we would require a Power of Attorney or Letter of Authorization from you. It is, after all, your money and no one but you can claim it, unless you give specific authority to act on your behalf.
